Steven D. Kamajian, D.O.
Steven Kamajian, DO, FACOFP
Steven D. Kamajian D.O is the Medical Director at Hillcrest Hospice Inc. He is at the core of every decision made about patient care. Dr. Kamajian is an Osteopathic physician and practices a “whole person” approach to medicine. Instead of just treating specific symptoms or illnesses, he regards your body as an integrated whole. As an Osteopathic physician, Dr. Kamajian has extra training in the musculoskeletal system- your body’s interconnected system of nerves, muscles and bones that make up two-thirds of your body mass. This training provides him with a better understanding of the ways that an illness or injury in one part of your body can affect another.
Steven D. Kamajian D.O. was born in Waco Texas and received his undergraduate degree from St. Josephs University in Philadelphia.  He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1978 and completed his family practice residency at Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia. After the family practice residency, he completed an additional year in geriatrics.  He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has been the recipient of numerous State and National Awards including Humanitarian of the Year, Physician of the Year, and Family Physician of the Year. His work with the homeless and working poor via shelter programs and free medical clinics have been highlighted by local newspapers from the Ventura County Star to the Los Angeles Times, from Family Circle Magazine, to Medical Economics Magazine. He is the immediate past Chief of Staff of Glendale Adventist Medical Center where he in the past has also been chairman of the Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Kamajian is in practice with offices in Montrose and Glendale in addition to the offices via Westminster Free Clinics for the homeless and working poor in Los Angeles and in Ventura Counties. You and your loved ones can rest assured knowing that Dr. Kamajian will be overseeing every medical decision made during your time with Hillcrest Hospice.
